VSCC Groups
Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF):
Our CWF group provides opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Divine Dining:
Divine Dining is a program we have where people of the church get together socially, outside of the church setting, and share a meal together. The goal of the program is for church members to get to know one another better, by mixing various age groups and friends. We usually have groups of five to nine people who meet to share a meal. The meal is usually held at the home of one of our participants who has volunteered to be the host for the month. The meal can also be at a favorite local restaurant. When the meal is held in someone’s home, usually members are requested to bring a side dish. Of course, there is usually some great conversation at the table, and your bound to learn something new about your fellow church family. The meals are usually held every couple of months, and we have been taking the summers off. If you would like to be involved in the next session of divine dining, please contact the church office or Kevin and Carol Huffman, chairpersons of the program. We are always glad to have both new members and new hosts. There is no specific start date for joining. Give it a try-you’ll be glad you did.

Media:
"Where to start: We record the entire service EVERY week. DVDs are created and shared with those unable to regularly attend church. The residents of Eberhardt Village also watch the DVD each week. Many video commercials and video skits have been created using the talents and creativity of our members. Since 2008, our annual children's' Christmas Program has been filmed in November/December, edited with green screen technology and shown as a video to an overflow crowd of proud parents and grandparents on the Sunday morning before Christmas. If you have an interest in video, contact Rich Buckler for the opportunity to enhance that interest while spreading the message of Jesus."

DVD Ministry:
The Vine Street Christian Church creates a weekly video of the Sunday morning service. DVD's are created each week from this video and those DVD's are then shared with local shut ins and the residents of Eberhardt Village assisted living community. This DVD ministry, start in 2005, provides an excellent history source for the life of the church.

Since Christmas 2008, the annual children's Christmas play has been video taped and edited weeks ahead of the Christmas presentation. The final edited "movie" has been received warmly by a church full of parents and grandparents.

The talent that exists within the membership of the congregation is also cultivated by frequent video shorts produced, written and edited by those with the passion and interest. "Plug-In, Recharge, and Light Up the World" is a motto that can be easily fulfilled through the power and attraction of the world of video.

Crafts:
Do you enjoy making crafts. Feel free to come join us on Monday mornings at 8:30 am. All are welcome.
The Prayer Group:
Meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 11:00 a.m. for about an hour. We develop a prayer list for our use daily. Anyone interested in an ongoing prayer life can join us. It is a discipline of the spiritual life to pray for others. Our list includes those on the Prayer List but we also branch out to include prayers for the community (Arthur). Also we pray for our country, and for the world. Commitment is made by members to pray daily.
The Bible Study:
Meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays. Right now we are using the Serendipity Bible. We select a book of the Bible and read it out loud, stopping for discussion. We also have prayer. In addition we conribute a small amount of money to be given to a good cause. This is a simple reading of the scriptures with other Christians. Join us for this low key way of keeping in touch. The group is meeting at 10:30 a.m.
